Skipper’s jaw clenched and her eyes widened for a moment. Slowly shaking her head, she took a step back from the girl, her heart starting to race. I wouldn’t feel comfortable…
Gen looked down and then back up shutting the door. It was a private conversation now so the avox would be more comfortable. “I won’t say anything or make fun of you. I’m just genuinely interested. Do I look like one of those Capitol lackeys wanting to poke fun at you?”
Really, really nervous. I can’t stop thinking about my score.
It’s better to have a lower score then a high one. High ones equal targets painted to your back and you’re a feisty thing so hope to be able to surprise them
Smiling softly, Skipper grabbed the book hugging it to her chest, before flipping to the back of it to write. I basically taught myself… Not much else I could do. I used to sing, but… You know.
Genesis indeed curious now she wanted to see the inside of a Avox’s mouth. “Can I - you know see?”
Hello, Gen. How are you doing?
I’m alright but more importantly how are you kid?
Peeking around the corner at the sound of a voice, Skipper wrinkled her nose as she watched Genesis looking through her sketches. Slowly walking over toward her, she let out a soft huff to allow the girl to now that she was behind her.
Genesis turned around handing the sketch book over t the Avox so talented. It amazed her how her lines were so crisp and sharp and how it really took one to know one with artistic talent having herself drawn since she was little too but more drafting then actual art. “Where did you learn?”
"Well sure, if I had friends, I suppose I might. But I mean, surely no matter who someone is, I could accept that my friends might be deserving of some criticism"
"Uhhh…interviews….right……well….uhhh…….nothing, really, to be honest"
You’ve worked on nothing for the interviews? You really should to get sponsors you will need in the arena. They are life saving.
"I haven’t seen Zion in a week. But I’m not going to comment on that because if I did, I’m sure you’d make some sharp comment about respecting my mentor. So I’ll refrain."
"But I do think I’ve been working pretty hard, if I say so myself. Even picked out a great weapon and studied some great skills….all alone"
You’d get defensive over your friends wouldn’t you? He’s busy doing his job - he works hard for you guys.
Oh wow and what have you worked out for interviews?
"I don’t know…… I’d say the fact that you brought up the subject in the first place kind of disproves that"
This body is not made for children anyways. I don’t look like a mother. So Piper - how’s Zion working you?
So beautiful, they are really life like.
